Worry will make your current insomnia worse. I have insomnia as well. My counselor has me working on rational vs. irrational thoughts. Try to google them and take a look at some examples of rational thoughts, or positive self talk examples. It is helping my anxiety and worry lessen a bit, though it takes practice/work.
I hope your sleep study goes well. I have no idea how anyone would sleep with all that stuff in the room and attached to you.
