No, absolutely there is not any thing in nature that says some things are better than others. On the contrary, in nature things co-exist and balance each other. We, human beings, started to categorize stuff and established arbitrary lists of "good things" vs. "bad things", all these marked by our cultural limitations.
Oh! And you compare yourself to others because you have learned to do so. Don't apologize. In fact, who taught you that you are inferior should apologize to YOU. Of course, we cannot identify who taught you that you are inferior because it was not just one individual but many, and they are part of the system, as well. We all are trapped in a system of beliefs and values that works in a way that destroy individuals in order to perpetuate itself. I don't want to erase your concerns about the things you want to improve in yourself. But please be mindful that society many times rewards individuals according to some "rules" that are not necessarily good. The rewarded individuals are not necessarily good or better than you in an absolute way. All is relative.
