I have a job where I spend part of the time at my desk and part in a lab. When I'm in the lab I stay more focused but at my desk I'm always looking at my phone and being distracted. I know other people do it but it makes me feel guilty and bad about myself. My bosses don't complain about me not getting enough done but I still feel bad. And sometimes our work goes through slow periods here and there and I'm always down on myself during those times. If I am not really busy I feel worthless.
I just don't know what's normal in terms of getting distracted at work? How much does a "normal" person get distracted?
