Mr. Stranger, I do not discount any of the things you have said but if you are out of work and looking for a job, this must be magnifying your feelings of inadequacy about social interactions. For many job openings out there, hundreds of people apply but only one gets the job so that leaves the hundreds that don't feeling like failures. It doesn't help that there are many companies that advertise positions yet may not "fill" the spot for a while or may already have someone in mind but have to "advertise" the position anyways! Being unemployed can get even the smoothest of operators down!
I do enjoy your conversations on here. You always have plenty of interesting things to say about lots of things....
