I'm doing schema therapy with my T. It's very interesting, look up the book 'reinventing your life' by Jeffery Young if your interested. It builds on CBT by adding the concepts of 'schemas' and 'modes'. It also incorporates elements of Gestalt therapy. It's distinct feature is its use of limited-reparenting.
This is deep work and at times can be deeply painful, but the growth can be amazing.
