I do not enjoy having DID. I try to keep it a secret. I dont discuss it with the public, or interviews, or around anyone except for my therapist. I try to lay low. It bothers me when people seem to try to get attention for it,

I do not enjoy having a dissociative disorder either. But I did start telling people that I have the disorder to protect myself. I could not get help any other way! I could not find a mental health professional who would even talk to me about the disorder. They still will not talk to me. I have totally given up on getting help.
I recently wrote the Sidran Institute and Dr. Colin Ross's Institute trying to get help. They will not respond to me.
