My court date is on May 1. My lease is up at the end of May and I planned on going back to Lake City, Florida and put myself back in the Jenkins' Veterans Domiciliary. Now I do not know what will happen. If the Judge gives me jail time or probation I will end up homeless. I am scared!!
My sister has given me the name of a lawyer but I do not know if he will help me. Lawyers have very busy schedules and my court date is only a month away. I always self-destruct when the mental health issues get too severe.
I wanted to go back to Lake City six months ago but I was stuck in a years lease.

I dont know how the justice system works there in Athens Georgia but heres a possible idea...
when you go to court be prepared with a treatment option where you want to move to, someplace short term inpatient, or long term your choice. then when you meet the judge admit you have a problem and you had planned on moving and go into treatment...
sometimes instead of jail time or a fine judges will do a remand to treatment and have you transported to treatment option. when this has happened to people I know they just sent for their personal items after they have gone through treatment and their treatment providers helped them to find a place to live. Usually they had their friends hold on to their personal items or made other storage arrangements until they could send for them.
