Hi,
I don't think that working while taking a full load of college courses is generally a bad idea, but I wouldn't recommend working so many hours as a full-time student that you'll end up becoming overwhelmed and getting less sleep than you need over an extended period of time. That's basically what I did during one of my years at college, and I think that it affected my mental health in a bad way, even into the long run. Having said this, working while taking a full load of college courses didn't have any significant negative effects on my mental well-being until I started working way too many hours. So, I think that working at night while studying full time would be a worthwhile option to consider, but if you end up doing this, I'd recommend paying attention to your stress level and to the extent to which you might end up cutting back on sleep because of the amount of time that you'll need to commit to both school and work. If you find yourself feeling too stressed and not getting the sleep that you need, then you might find working a limited number of hours to be best for you. But regardless as to what you might end up doing as far as working while going to college is concerned, I wish you luck with making a decision.
