I'm late here but I'd like to put my spin on it as well by doing for "the truth" what some would do for a lie...

you are a person of great courage who has crawled down the same broken glass strewn trash filled alleys as I have seeking to be loved. You could've been content to sit on the sidelines of life and pretend to have it or ridicule those poor people who so misguidedly seek it but this was not your nature. We do what we do for ourselves,and sometimes it makes no sense until we realize that we have come thru our darkness only to be made aware of our true strength and calling to help others find theirs as well.When we experience our own healing keeping it to ourselves is not an option. I can now bless all of those painful things I went thru because I know there was a purpouse behind them, walk with your head high! you are the victor here and what was meant for evil has been turned into your strength and joy!
