Interesting!
Well, my first name is Christina, which is Greek for "Annointed, follower of Christ". Or the feminine form of Christ. Or "Christ bearer" ... you get the picture.
My middle name is Elizabeth, which is Hebrew for "God's Oath". I've also heard Elizabeth meaning "gift from God" or "consecrated from God".
... sad thing is, my family isn't *that* religious. I think they just picked my name because it sounds pretty.
Family tradition states (from my grandmother, who was eldest daughter), and then passed down to my mom (eldest daughter), to me (eldest daughter) ... that my eldest daughter's middle name should be Elizabeth. Not that I mind, because it's a beautiful name.
As for my last name... well, on either side of my family they're either Scottish/Irish or English. Nothing special to the meanings either.
