Here's how I look at it:

0-20 years old: First Quarter
21-40 years old: Second Quarter
41-60 years old: Third Quarter
61-80 years old: Fourth Quarter
81 and over: Overtime.

And you friend, are NOT middle aged. Fact is, quite a lot of people go into the psychiatric field to escape their own demons. As in, "I can't be screwed up cause I have these initials after my name." But of course, they can be. Your nurse sounds like one of them.
