I think what upsets me more than that though on those same forums/chats is when there are people that claim they have it but you can tell by what they post that they really don't even understand what DID is.That feels invalidating to me and I know I shouldn't let it bother me but it does.It's hard to not tell them they have no freaking clue.

I'm not one to accuse others of faking or that they are making up a disorder for whatever reason being. It has happened to me and it hurts. I'd rather just not respond and walk away.
