It could still be withdrawal related I suppose, but it sounds like you tapered off correctly. Maybe an MD can help in the meantime?
If I ask my primary doc a MH question she will refer me back to the VA's BHS.

Hi there. From personal experience I can tell you that going off your meds is a bad idea and can cause all sorts of unwanted system withdrawal. Do you not feel you need Psych meds anymore and if so why? I know a lot of people with mental health disorders try and go off their medications and it doesn't work out very well. This is just of course my personal opinion and I wish you all the best.
Hola

I think I need them to some extent. Other than the apparent withdrawal issues I am not much worse or better than what I was on meds. My better days off meds is maybe a little better than on and my bad days are slightly worse but I think that has more to do with the issues I whined about.

On the other hand, I have been on at least 2 dozen psych meds in the past 22 years and not one of them really touched my depression but what they did do is give me horrifying side effects.

Tinnitus
Vertigo
Hyperprolactemia
Dangerously low testosterone
Gynecomastia - thankfully not too noticeable. More of a small painful lump
Restless legs
Low blood pressure
Too much sleeping
Insomnia
Exhaustion
Hyperlipidemia
Tachycardia
Increased anxiety
Weight gain
Disassociation
Twitching and tremors - already had it from my seizure disorder but a few meds made it worse.

I could go on for a while. I have no little to no benefit and lots of risk. It is not worth it for me. Sure, sometime down the road probably sooner than I want, I will need to go back on meds.

Thank you for the kind thoughts.
