Most people "out there" regard "get togethers" as pleasant breaks in the stream of life. Some of us... Well, they are "breaks", but "breaks" of the threatening kind.  
"Should". That word deserves its own special trigger icon. Or, is "should" laughable? I speculate a therapy that invokes "should" has either run out of ideas or has substituted a fantasy for reality.
They can have their "should's".
