Lamotrigine has helped with me with impulsivity, along with other meds. I am on 400 mg, and I do admit to seeing some results compared to when I was on only 200-300 mg. Has your pdoc discussed AP's with you? Without the back up of an antipsychotic, lamotrigine doesn't help as much as it should, for me at least. I see in your signature that you were on Abilify in the past, but there are other AP's that you may find a lot more effective, although only a doctor can really steer you in the right direction. Just stating that a mood stabilizer plus AP seems to be the formula that works for me.
