I will attempt finding employment later this year after I get my FAFSA so I can get the full amount that they give you when you don't have an income. Perhaps by then, I will have enough references and things to put on a resume built up to where I can get a decent job easily.
Until then, I'm taking a hiatus. After all, why struggle when there is an easy way out?

If you are planning on resuming your work search later in the year I recommend looking for Christmas temp vacancies - because many companies (especially stores) need a large number of people for the busy period they will often be less picky and give applicants with less/no experience a chance.
At worst you get to gain a few months pay and experience (and recent reference) and often they will take reliable workers on after Christmas - it's kind of like a trial. This is what my son did.
