Here are the steps that I took to cure my Fibromyalgia.

1. I did try some supplements called FibroFree (from 4Life Research, I think) which set me back about $500 but I was desperate and decided to try it. I did find some relief when using them for the prescribed 3 months but not enough. I would not necessarily recommend anyone to invest in them due to their cost and possible risk of not working.

2. I began seeing a physical therapist trained in craniosacral therapy (to find someone trained close to you, search on dogpile.com under Upledger Institute. I think that there is a location that provides the names and contacts of those trained in the technique.). I would also suggest that you may ask around to holistic practitioners or therapists that know of those who are trained at the therapy that are good. It took 4 months before I began to feel relief which only began to let up each session after. I saw her every week for about 2 years. Some people many not need to visit their practioner as often depending on their severity and history of injury.

3. After the 2 years, I started to see a massage therapist for myofascial release. It is somewhat like massage but does sting until the muscles and fascia have been "released" from one another. I utilized this therapy for 6 months, every week.

I will say that you have to set your mind in the belief that your body has the ability to heal itself. You have to absolutely believe that this is possible. I also consulted a book called "Alternative Treatments for Fibromyalgia" that I purchased from Barnes and Noble.

I will admit that I also saw a pain specialist for meds for pain relief to use as a tool to help cope while receiving treatments.

It does not go away overnight but the wait was worth every minute.

I think that is it. If I think of anything else, I will be sure to put it on the forum.

If anyone has a question, please PM me as I am very happy to help.

Hope this helps someone or many,
Peacemaker
