Too many of us wants to imitate other people's life.
Start simple, like making a habit to clock 8-hrs of sleep, eat properly, these goes a long way of self-care (mention I never bombed the sentence with exercise)
Self-care will lead to better management and care for mental health, followed by better motivation to physically take care of yourself.
I am not going to motivate people just by throwing in positive speeches now and then. But I think one thing that made me saw this world in a different light was to observe the phenomenon of impermanence everywhere.
- My body is something that is created for me and it will cease to exist one day. I have to treat it with proper care in order to live on and bring hope to other people around me.
- No one is going to be by my side to take care of me forever, I have to fix my own issues swiftly and move on to take on responsibilities, so I am able to bring hope to other people around me and raise their standard of mental care.
- I was someone who often drinks his way out to avoid personal issues. I told myself, this habit is detrimental to me in the long run, it will grow steadily and collapse on me in the future. I do not want to see this happen, I have to overcome these bad habits.
- I used to be a late sleeper, and this habit affected my concentration at office work and my ability to think rationally. I must quit torturing myself with late-night sleeps and get 8-hrs of sleep. (Results: Less Acne and Pimples, one less worry in life to carry)
