If anyone has gone through a group screening, could you please tell me what it's like?
I went through a screening process a few summers ago for an anxiety management group. It felt much like an initial appointment with a T. I think the screening process is a few things: 1) It's an opportunity for the T to meet the group members in advance so that no one is walking in completely cold; 2) It's an opportunity for the T to impart information about what will take place in the group; 3) It's an opportunity for the T and potential group member to ask each other questions; and 4) It's an opportunity for the T to assess how the potential group member will most likely function in the group or to determine if the potential member would be better served in a different group / more intensive setting.

I am thinking it would be really important for a T to want to know if the potential group member is there voluntarily or not.

I wish you all the best with this group!
