My pdoc and I have gone back and forth on this exact discussion. His fear and in my own personal research, depression can be made worse for those with bipolar disorder if taking an antidepressant. He has me on a mood stabilizer which does help.

Current meds: 100mg Wellbutrin; 200mg Lamictal; 400mg Seroquel at night; Xanax 1mg/PRN; 100mg/PRN Trazodone at night for insomnia
