Wellbutrin was like hellbutrin for me with the mixed mania and anxiety it caused. It's terrible that your pdoc left you hanging like that for a month! Is there any other doctor that can assist you with this who has an earlier opening? Sometime calling a pharmacist can also help, just to ask questions, if you need to taper so things don't get out of control. If you have to call crisis/911 or go to the hospital if nobody will help you.

However, doesn't your pdoc have anyone at all who can help, maybe another pdoc whom he/she shares office space with who can see you just for just one visit, since this is urgent? ...Unless you can call back and forcefully say that you need something earlier and see if she will work with you to squeeze you in. A good pdoc would at least attempt, or come up with another option since you are really suffering.

If all else fails, I would say discontinue it on your own since you know your body best.

Personally though, when I was in a state of mind like this, I was actually able to reach a new pdoc in the area that took me since it was a very time-sensitive matter, and my old pdoc was on vacation, unavailable to answer any calls. She took me off of it and prescribed different meds to get me out of the dangerous state of mind I was in. I was lucky to find her easily by simply calling the number and setting up appointment.
Thanks for this!
