I'm sure it's frustrating when you feel like you just HAVE to have or do something RIGHT NOW, and a spouse or s/o crushes your brilliant plans. But it's good you have somebody there to be the voice of reason for you, and keep you from doing something impulsive that could have bad consequences.
I'm pretty sure it would really suck to crash into a deep depression and have to deal with your 2 car garage filled with 6 brand new cars that are being shat on by a flock of falcons, while a miniature donkey covered in clay watches in horror as he spins round and round in circles on a potters wheel...
I do love me a new, brilliant, grand scheme that sounds like the best possible idea ever, though. Other than buying some stupid crap I don't need though, most of my crazy (and possibly kick as$) ideas never make it farther than my own mind. I'm an idea person but can't really bother with details to ever actually ever follow thru on anything... which is probably a good thing since I have no spouse to put the kabosh on them.
I once drew out sketches and started to create a prototype of a McD French fry carton that fits perfectly in a car cup holder and has a built in cardboard fold out slot to put the ketchup in, so u can neatly dip your fries into ketchup while driving. Totally stupid but I still sort of wish it existed as i can clearly picture it in my head every time i go to the drive thru!
