I get what you're saying. I feel like I'm reading about my life.
Life can be very complicated at times and sometimes how we behave or what we do is out of survival. It's survival in best way we know how at the time and with that can come certain consequences. We then develop coping skills in order to deal with those consequences. It can all lead into a slippery slope.
I think it's easy for some of us to look back at those times and see where we are at now and regret certain decisions that we've made in the past. We are human and therefore not perfect. Could we have made better decisions? Perhaps so.
We can't change the past now but we can learn from our mistakes and our choices. We can work on making things better for what lies ahead. Easier said than done though.
