i asked my brother and he said that his got cut short because he went to summer school so it was the opposite. i called the fafsa phone number and asked the woman if i would have any repercussions and she said its on an individual basis but since im not going back to SIU it wont matter.

but damn does Miami make it difficult to prove that Im a resident of Ohio. I have to get copies of my dad's drivers license, deed to his house proving he bought it in ohio, voter registration and tax return showing im dependent.

but this is what i dont get.... to fafsa im not independent til im 24. my parents havent claimed me for 2 years b/c they cant. but that makes me independent. how the hell does that work? im independent according to the school b/c my parents dont claim me on taxes but fafsa says im dependent until im 24. i hate these people lol
