Medicaid offices, at least here, are notorious for getting things wrong. My coverage was cut once because they decided I owned a house I wasn't living in. I had sold it 3 years before and had never put it as an asset in this county. I had to totally re-apply but it came out fine.
I could go on, I've had numerous bad/weird experiences with them, but it all seems to work out eventually. (Except I can't get the hospital to bill them for my IP stay last February but that's not Medicaid's fault. I don't think.)
