I can relate. Those times are tough, I know.
Perhaps you can entertain yourself for a little while on the computer, then make dinner plans with him & leave to pick up meal ingredients. I think that getting away from him, distracting yourself with activity and other people, just might work for a couple of hours. When you get home, he will hopefully be ready to spend more time and attention on you for a while. If he then goes back into job hunting, take a walk or do yoga followed by a shower or relaxing bath (listening to your favorite music!). This time can be made especially for you. Try looking at it that way.
