This happened to me until I went on clozaril and since then I've not had a lot of cycling to compare. I think it is a combination of mixed and ultra-rapid cycling. I tried mood charting every time my mood changed for a few weeks once in the midst of one of those times and the chart looked like constant, severe earthquakes on a seismograph. Even daily charts looked like that.

Until clozaril it was normal for me to have that happen pretty much every time I started cycling. My pdoc and therapist are both so proud of me right now because 2 weeks ago or so I picked up on subtle warning signs I was starting to cycle and lowered my AD immediately which stopped the cycling, instead of letting it get out of control as usually would happen. Before clozaril that was impossible because I wouldn't have known hypomania from mixed from bad mood from irritable.

I'm sorry you are feeling that; I know it is truly awful.
