I'm sorry I don't really know a lot about this. I presume what this is all about is anxiety / stress related to your BPD episodes or traumatic events. Binge eating has become a way of handling, or perhaps avoiding dealing with, a swell of anxiety / stress that results from your experience of a BPD episode or traumatic event.

I would guess that is pretty typical. Many if not most of us nowadays react to high levels of anxiety / stress by eating. So, assuming this is what's going on with you, seeking some professional mental health assistance with learning other ways of coping with the effects of your BPD episodes & traumatic events is probably what is needed here.

I know you wrote you're finding it hard to distract yourself or find healthy hobbies. This is probably just a sign that what you are experiencing is simply not something you're going to be able to overcome by yourself. Professional help is going to be needed. I wsh you well...
