I struggle with depression, functioning and studying. Something that was recommended to me that may help you too. Is to get a book or notes out. Set a timer for 5 minutes. Read or do your work
for that period and that period only; when the timer goes off, take a break.
Then in a little bit, after say a 10 minute break, try it again. 5 minutes. It will go by pretty fast and getting a bit done at a time it will feel better than procrastinating doing nothing, which will make it worse in your mind over time and making it more monumental to get started and harder.
After a couple of times of 5 minutes, keep going with the same pattern or try increasing it by a couple of minutes if feeling up to it. But no matter do 5 minutes and when you think about it, 5 minutes, it takes that long some times to get a cup of coffee or tea, so really how long is that; the time will go by fast.
That's all you have to do is a few minutes, that's all that is in front of you right now.
