I understand where you are coming from! It is ridiculous to have a person needing psych meds wait for months to get in. And that is also the case where I live. I see a nurse practitioner and I don't like her much. But she does give me my prescriptions. One thing I have considered is traveling to another area to get on meds. There is a city about an hour away that has a medical school and seems to have a lot of pdocs. I thought about going there, getting things to where I want them, and then asking my GP to prescribe from that point.
