Yes it's tough. There have been times in my life I just haven't seen a reason either. It is easier now though as I have sought out ways to have that purpose; specifically to have meaning to others.
I suggest stepping out and getting involved in something. I volunteer for both a museum and a charity. I also have gotten involved in the leadership of a support group. This gives me 1-2 reasons to get out each week. I am doing something purposeful in that I would be missed should I stop attending.
I suggest finding something to appreciate. My opinion is that you will then learn to appreciate yourself.
