First i just happened upon the main character doll at a store, who uh i thought was a girl who looked just like me, if that tells you anything!

Then i ordered the Carol doll, who reminded me of Pookie and Blacktooth from Soupy Sales.

For several years, t would set up the room before i came in, with Carol on my chair, and the babydoll on his chair. It looked like they were doing therapy before WE came in!

I would hold Carol on my lap (mostly hiding my crotchal area), and t would hold the babydoll tucked in his arm. I called her Impie cuz she looked impish. Every once in a while, it seemed like she would react to something we said, like she'd look up at him? I realize it was probably just him twitching, but it was so striking, and so hilarious, it was like she was calling b.s. on what was being said. Which is very useful in t, i think.

Plus it felt like he was holding ME the whole session. We do greeting and closing hugs. Its been over ten years, hes like a brother, except my real brother is like a stranger. We also throw the dolls at each other sometimes. Also other kids use the dolls.

I just thought it was SO GREAT that this old guy was willing to sit there holding a doll, session after session after session for me. He never seemed embarrassed about it. He was just consistent.

Hes mainly a child psychologist.
