Hello MissArtie: I don't know as I can really be of much help with regard to your concerns. Perhaps this is just due to the stressful family life you mentioned. In order to get a real handle on it, it would be best to seek the services of a mental health professional... perhaps a therapist or counselor. If you're in college perhaps there is a student counseling center you could check in with.

The usual do-it-yourself techniques for dealing with stress / anxiety include getting plenty of exercise, meditation, making time to do things you enjoy, getting sufficient amounts of quality sleep... those sorts of things... nothing particularly unusual. Since this seems to have come on rather suddenly, you might want to get yourself checked out medically too. Chances are what you're experiencing isn't physical, but it can't hurt to get checked out.

I see this is your first post here on PC. So... to PsychCentral… from the Skeezyks! May the time you spend here be of benefit.

PsychCentral is a great place to get information as well as support for mental health issues. The more you post, & reply to other members’ posts, the more a part of the community you will become. Plus there are social groups you can join & chat rooms where you’ll be able to connect with other PC members in real time (once your first 5 posts have been reviewed & approved.) Lots of great stuff! So please keep posting!
