Sal, my only advice is to find something you can love doing and do that. You can learn to live at a variety of different income levels but learning to love a job that doesn't agree with you is nearly impossible.
Take it from a guy who went to film school, it's worth chasing the dream but you might have to work harder and make less to get that personally satisfying career.
