Hello, I'm a 38 year old woman with bipolar disorder and attached to my parents. Several years ago I moved back in with my parents after a handful of bipolar episodes where I was hospitalized 7 times. My life prior was very independent as I lived in Chicago, had a great job, lived on my own, lots of friends and fun. I still do social activities in my new living situation but whenever I have to study at my desk in my room I immediately start missing my parents and go downstairs to our TV room to be with them. Has anyone gone through this before? The more complicated and frustrating the study subject matter the more I want to be with my parents. It's also hard for me to get started studying in the morning or afternoon because I just want to be around them all the time. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
