Depressme...What you have said sounds so SO much like me....alone here in my little sanctuary. But, I too have been sick from time to time...once with the flu, I could barely get up out of bed, and I do know how it feels.
On the other hand, when I had a partner, married for 20 years, he wasn't attentive at all when I needed him, though he, himself, was very demanding if he happened to be ill.
I am glad you are feeling better, and also hope you, like me, are feeling proud of being able to live alone and take care of yourself!
