My 17 year old daughter was on her way home from work tonight. Got out at 8:00. She has a 25 minute drive to home and a car going north threw what she thought was a bottle out the window and really damaged her car. She has only liability as to her age and the car's age. It almost went through the windshield. She was so scared and upset. We called the police and reported it and let her go to her boyfriend's home because his family knows a lot about cars and she was very upset. They did what we knew they would and shared the anger and said it was no big deal to fix the hunk of metal. I told her it is just metal. Turns out it was a steel rod and she could have been killed. Just missed the windshield. Anyway, these nice people are going to fix her car so the wound doesn't keep scaring her and my daughter has a fear of driving now. I am going to get her a cell phone. Poor thing feeling so scared and helpless. Stupid young people on the road is my guess. Hope they are caught. She worked hard and bought her car cash and pays her own insurance. She feels as though she has been robbed. I hate it when my kids hurt. Was almost crying when I spoke to the police because she was crying. That always does it for me. A kid crying. Poor darling.
