I think your history of being bullied is a significant - that can really knock our confidence.

I had that experience too - I would give up on friendships quite easily and was very sensitive to rejection. It took a long time to find the right tribe to be with, but in time it came. I agree with the advice to follow your passion and you will meet others along the way who are similar.
