You absolutely don't need to go to college to be CNA.
It's 4 to 12 weeks training. You can do free training through Red Cross. It's very low paid job though.
You might want to consider LPN. Hospitals really prefer RNs and don't care LPNs anymore but nursing homes and long term facilities do. It's a bit more rigorous training but it pays way better. Not as good as RN but certainly better than CNA.
But CNA is a good start for sure
