I would tell my pdoc. I was prescribed stimulants for depression; it didn't really help me. But my pdoc was willing to give it a try. I have a history of drug use and alcoholism, and I don't have ADD.

Even if pdoc won't prescribe it, the information may give helpful information about the best way to treat your depression.
