Unless, the AA forum it probably is from someone's childhood, when had you first noticed someone take a drink? I was going to say the AA forum is also a resource to help support addictive issue. Trust that at least that alter(s) is observing if they want to try to turn that into not an issue. I think is the also some of the si behavior that you gotta grow out of if you actually want all alters agreed that actually have the problem.
