For protein I eat tuna (packed in water when I don't find fresh)[b]almonds, walnuts,and cream of wheat and oatmeal.

I really have to watch my salt intake because I am naturally low in potassium, and extra salt can make me faint easily.

I'm sorry you had a bad experience. That is one reason I just don't even try fake food.
