My OCD used to take the form of constant hand-washing, too. Huge fear of germs.

Are you functioning pretty well throughout your day--going to work/school, keeping up with responsibilities?

You are not crazy. You may have a chemical imbalance. Lots of nice people have OCD. They're not crazy. It's not within your control. You can't control it just like you can't control your heart rate at will. The people who think it's all in your head simply don't understand.

Read the book BRAIN LOCK. Get to a therapist who specializes in OCD. See a psychiatrist. If it's interfering with your daily life, then you need help. Nothing to be ashamed about. Let us know what happens. . .
