I don't believe in curses. I agree too that 'reading a fortune' is not the same as casting a curse. Incidentally I read cards and have never read a fortune. I use cards instead to help me see differing contexts of a situation and the multiple manner a situation may play itself out. It should be thus a learning tool

I wish I could be supportive but my opinion is that you have been taken in by this woman (there is no such thing a Norse Gypsy by the way) and are allowing what she said to run your life. As you earnestly believed her at the time it only makes sense that you 'see' instance after instance of it playing out the way you believe it ought to - you have been looking for signs. I completely am of the opinion that if you just forgot about the whole thing you would be happier. In this manner, you would be 'breaking the curse' entirely by yourself.
