I talked to my dad about it and he said he can fix it. So I saved $800.

But for whatever reason Firestone didn't check my tires and one was super low and I needed to drive an hour away for work tomorrow and my parents blew up about it and literally threatened to kick me out over that.

So I called my best friend A and we had a very long conversation about it on the phone, and we both agreed to move out together. On the phone she told me that my mom is beyond controlling and treats me like a child and that it's not fair to me to have to walk on eggshells every single day for never knowing how my mom will react in that moment of time. I told her that I simply couldn't just tell my parents "I can't stand you and I'm moving out ASAP" because I'm not in a place financially to do so, and I told her they wouldn't help me with rent as she suggested. I asked her to be roommates as she is planning on moving to Southern California in two years and I told her that would be plenty of time to prepare for that transition. I told her it is my top priority to buy a new car and by then I will have saved enough, and in two years I will have enough training and stability in my job to be able to find work in SoCal. I also told her that my brother knows that area well and can help us find a place to live and a good deal.
