I know what your birth story feels like. My parents had names picked out for their baby, but when the doctor asked for a name for the death certificate, they pulled one out of the air. So my legal name reminds me of my birth story. What I did to re-focus my negativity towards my name is that I renamed myself. I didn't legally change my name but hardly anyone knows my legal name now. I just thought I'd share that.
