I too would suggest the ER.

My husband had IV antibiotics 3 times a day for about 3 months due to an infection.

He did everything himself once he got out of the hospital and was actually quite good for someone who fainted looking at his dental x-rays .

Once they set you up with the pic line and the medication, did they give you anybody to call if you had a problem? If so call them asap. If not, then go to the ER. It is better to take care of this stuff quickly.
