your pubic symphysis is the area that connects both sides of your hip bones basically. some women get this and some dont. sometimes it can be associated with the baby being in the wrong position like breech birth so its good that youre getting an ultrasound. The best way to treat it is probably going to a chiropractor.

a lot of doctors wont even acknowledge this kind of pain so you might need to go to more than just your ob before anyone actually helps you. im guessing that you might get ideas on how to help the pain but not actually treat it.

have you had any previous problems or had any other babies before this one?

if you go to a doctor and they dont tell you what you want to know then go to a different one. seems like doctors always try to downplay the pains of pregnancy. calling braxton-hicks contractions a mild discomfort. but we know better than to call it that lol.
