Actually, I wouldn't think mermaids would eat their "friends" the shrimp? Maybe that's why you don't like them :-) I like more seafood than my husband does but we don't like the same things! It's very odd as it's hard to fix a seafood dinner. He likes swordfish and scallops and I don't care for either of those and his white fish has be be "fried" and I'd rather eat fish broiled. I was raised around the Chesapeake Bay so like hard shelled blue crabs but he doesn't like anything with bones or that he has to "pick" like that though he will eat a crabcake if they're his only choice.
