Yes, unfortunately, I've experienced this also. (((Hugs everyone))) My theory for why this happens so often to us is... as depressed people, we feel more deeply and generally have more empathy than most of society. We will go out of our way for other because we know firsthand what it is like to struggle, and we want to prevent that struggle from happening to the people we care about. However, most other people simply don't feel like we do, they don't have as much empathy, so when WE are struggling, they don't process it the same way as if the situation were reversed. Hope that makes sense. Unfortunately I don't have any solutions. *Turns pockets inside out, finds only lint, shrugs* :/
